Please Read Before Bidding

It’s getting a bit frustrating for me to see people bid on my elance projects without reading the Terms of the project.

I am assuming that they all do actually read the Terms, but they either honestly don’t know what they are doing, or they think that I don’t care too much about some of the Terms and decide not to follow them.

On elance I have several article projects going, articles for web content. The type of articles I want are original content with no copy and paste and at least 500 words.

The problem here isn’t so much about the bidders, it’s about the person who I choose to win the project. Because some of the bidders say they they will write 300 words, so I can easily just ignore that bid.

Many, if not 90% of the projects so far I have had to get the writer to re-write many of the articles because they have paragraphs of copy and paste content in them. When they accept the Terms, they are accepting that I want no copy and paste, but it seems like they don’t really think I’m serious about it, or they think that I won’t catch it.

One of the writers came back and said that they must have sent me the draft articles instead of the proper ones. I believed him, mistakes can easily happen when sending files. But now he just sent them back with many more articles, and most of them still have copy and paste in them.

I want to think that I am a nice guy who gives people enough chances to fix their mistakes, but how many times should I have to tell these writers? I am not saying that all elance writers are like this, just most of the one’s I pick are :(

I do however have another writer, who I just can’t believe the quality of articles he puts out. Maybe I am just too use to his top quality that I can’t accept anything less?

Let me know what you think. Do you have any suggestions?
