I think it’s about time for my second “Good People Still Do Exist” post. And today’s winner is… Allen Says!

Now before I go any further, I think I know what you are thinking, “Oh of course Allen get’s to be in his “Good People Still Do Exist” category”. But before tonight, I was never thinking of posting about him in this category. This category is mainly for those that are not so “popular” as Allen :). Allen does help a lot of people, but something that he did tonight made him stand out once more.

Allen has recently started to post recommendations to products in his forum (long overdue). Yesterday he posted a link to a product that is $70. Because Allen’s recommending it, I had to go check it out. And of course he picked a good product, and so I bought it :).

Well what do you know… this morning when I logged onto the forum I saw that he added something to that link. He, or the products creator, is now offering $20 off for the forums members. The first thing I thought was “What! If only I had waited a few hours”, but it then quickly became “Oh well… it’s a good product, I don’t mind”.

After that I didn’t think of it again. Until later today I received an email from Allen saying “I need to send you a $20 refund…” and asking for my PayPal email address. I was pleasantly surprised to see that. There is nothing saying that he needed to do that, he very well could have not said anything and I would have been 100% fine with that. In fact I was already fine with it before he emailed me :).

You can tell a good man when he willingly gives when no one is expecting.

As you can see, good people still do exist.

I am sure you all have heard of Mike Filsaime’s Butterfly Marketing product right? Well if you haven’t yet, take a look at his sales page here, ButterflyMarketing.com.

Now before you read any further, please note that this is not a sales pitch, at least not by me it isn’t (You will understand what I mean if you keep reading). This is just a conversation I had with a fellow IM’er (Matt) through instant messenger.

Here is a brief overview and disclaimer so that you don’t get too confused. I started this conversation because I knew that Matt talks with Mike Filsaime sometimes, and thought Matt may know a bit more about Butterfly Marketing then what everyone else seems to know (or don’t know). As of writing this, I still have not decided if I will get Butterfly Marketing or not. Please know that I have taken some parts out of the conversation, as Matt and I can get a bit sidetracked quite easily at times, and I didn’t think you would want to read it all. Oh, and there will probably be a lot of spelling mistakes, try to read around them if possible.

This post goes along the same lines as my last one. I am trying to get the word out that there are still great, honest, polite people on the internet. I will try to post whenever I find someone like that.

Matt: yeah…of course

Matt: it will be well worth 1K
Joel: would 1k be better spent on my business knowing what i already know
Matt: if you follow his advice and use (what he teaches) ….
Matt: that 1K would be well spent on his package
Matt: no doubt about it

Matt: he’s a really good guy man
Matt: I don’t really care for most marketers….no matter how much they make…cuz they really don’t care about people
Joel: ya, ive heard hes nice
Matt: Mike F actually does care about people
Matt: he REALLY does want to HELP people succeed man
Joel: cool
Matt: and he’s providing the stuff to do it
Matt: almost everything he uses
Joel: is he paying you to IM people and tell how good he is? lol
Matt: Mike F doesn’t even know I tell people about him…..lol
Joel: lol
Matt: he probably doesn’t care either…as long as I’m not saying he’s an ***hole
Joel: ya i dont think i will get the butterfly thing now… maybe a goal oriented project
Matt: well…the butterfly thing could help you with your current and future projects

As I re-read this, there is actually two people here among the few great IM’ers. One that truly helps others to succeed, and one that will go out of his way to say how great someone is.
