Articles And Duplicate Content

I think since the beginning of the private label right article sites that started about 1 1/2 years ago, the talk of duplicate content has grown. Some people think that any duplicate content will get your site banned, and others built massive sites while only using freely available articles.

I personally do not think that there is any big issues here. The search engines may not like a lot of duplicate content on your site, but I don’t think that they will ban your site from the search results.

Creating original content is always the best way to go… but that isn’t always something you can do. Having some freely available articles on your site, articles taken from article directories, I believe is just fine. Just don’t overdue it. You want to create a meaning full site for your visitors, great, useful content, and if that means using some good articles that others have written, then so be it.

I don’t see much problem either. People should focus more on duplicate content from a single domain. That’s more problem.

I don’t see a problem AT ALL! Honestly, I’ve made great use of private label articles. Not to gain a higher rank amongst the behemoths we call search engines, but within my own circle of friends (my mailing list).

If you have a list that hasn’t been exposed to a specific sub-niche of private label content, because they’re focused on another sub-niche, then introducing new content in the form of a PLR article could benefit you immensely. It helps you because of the links you’re able to place in the “resource box” of every article; plus, you’re giving your reader what they crave…MORE INFORMATION.

So, depending on what your list is all about, using PLR articles from similar topics could actually tickle their interest, and create a hunger for more (which is where you profit).

I’d use PLR articles for mailing lists and leads, not to build a higher pagerank in these search engines.

Well, PLR articles are good, at least you can rewrite it. At least it’s better than using articles that you get from article directory.

From what I’ve seen with an old large site of my own, the site isn’t banned from the big G, but a large percentage of its pages are relegated to “supplemental results”.

I know someone that has statistical evidence of what happens even when you submit totally original articles to article directories and ezines. You will see hundreds of links to your site from the resource boxes in your articles, and then over the next few weeks, the number of links will diminish from hundreds down to less than 20.

If you want to see the entire explanation of this and the exact numbers involved, get the article submission software from http://www.artemispro.com . This software automates article submissions, but with a twist that prevents the duplicate content problem.
