Another Profit Strategy For 2007
In my last post I went over a few ways that you can use an autoresponder to help you make 2007 more profitable. I thought I would continue the “more profit for 2007″ thoughts with this post.
Another way that you can make more money, and more profit (which is more important) in 2007 is to joint venture with several different people in the same market as you.
What I want to briefly talk about here more specifically is about JVing through seminars. I think most of us know already that we should contact other marketers who are already selling a product similar to ours, to ask if they would like to joint venture with us. We usually do this my emailing or maybe calling the potential partner, but what about physically meeting and talking with them?
This past weekend I attended an Internet marketing seminar, JV Alert, in Orlando Florida. I was able to hear many great speakers, like Willie Crawford, Mike Filsaime, Brad Fallon, Rich Schefren, plus many more. I was also able to talk to many other Internet marketers, make a connection and possibly be able to work with them in the future.
I have at least three JV’s set up so far, just from going to this seminar, three more then what I would have had if I had not gone.
You can argue that it may cost you a few thousand dollars to go to a seminar (event tickets, plane tickets, hotel stay, ect.), but how much can you make from just one joint venture? You could very well make your costs back with just one jv, but what about three jv’s?
But there was one other interesting aspect that I noticed about some of the attendees. A lot of people who came, and who paid several thousand dollars to come, did not attend any (or very little) of the seminars.
Now why would someone pay so much money to come to a seminar, but not attend any of the speaker’s presentations? The answer is, to make joint venture deals.
You see, the time that you actually spend listening to the speakers, the less amount of time that you can actually talk to people to make jv deals. Now I am not saying that you shouldn’t listen to any of the speakers, many of them were very well done, and I learned from several of the speakers. However I think that there comes a time when you can decide that your time may be better spent talking to people, getting to know other people in your market that you can help (and who can help you).
To sum this all up, make this year more profitable for you by doing some joint venture deals, and maybe even attend a seminar so that you can make a real connection with other marketers in your field.
